Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort Receives 16” of Snow and It's Still Snowing Print-version

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – January 21, 2012 – Winter has arrived! Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort has received 16 inches of snow in the past 48 hours and is expecting more snow throughout the weekend according to the National Oceanic and AtmosphericAdministration.

The wet snow that has fallen thus far is great for building a base that will set us up for the rest of the winter. With more snow and cooler temperatures forecasted throughout the weekend we are optimistic that we will be able to open additional terrain and chairlifts in the coming days.

Sierra welcomes the shift in the weather pattern and embraces the much-needed snow. Forecasts are calling for accumulations of up to two feet at higher elevations through Monday, with the largest amount dropping Sunday night. Storms continue to line up in the Pacific and track towards Sierra.

Don’t miss out on all this new snow. Stay tuned to www.sierraattahoe.comfor up to the minute mountain conditions and everything else you need to know about Sierra Resort.
